About Lina
Lina brings the practical side of co-parenting into one app — messages, child information, photos, contacts, equipment lists, and a care schedule — accessible to both homes.
Lina is made for parents who share care of a child between two homes. The app works best when the basic co-parenting relationship is functional, but more structure and predictability are needed.
Yes, Lina is free to download and use. No payment is required to create an account or invite the other parent.
Lina is available as an app for iPhone and Android. The care schedule at getlina.app can be used in a browser without downloading the app.
To use shared features like messages, photos, and child information, both parents need an account. The care schedule can be used by one parent alone.
Lina focuses on the practical side of shared care between two homes — child information, messages, photos, contacts, and a care schedule — accessible to both parents. It is built for Nordic and European families, with a calm and adult tone and no advertising. Primary user data is stored with a subprocessor in the European Union.
Care Schedule
The care schedule is a free tool you can use directly in your browser. Click on days to assign them to each parent and see the summary update instantly. The plan can be exported as a PDF.

Yes, the care schedule supports flexible week-by-week planning, making it easy to add holiday weeks and special periods.
Lina does not sync automatically with Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. You can add the care days manually to your own calendar, or enter individual events from Lina — such as pick-ups, activities, and appointments — as regular calendar entries.
Privacy
Only the two parents connected to the child in Lina have access to the child's information. No other users or Lina itself has access to the content you share.
No. Lina does not sell or share user data with third parties. There is no advertising in the app.
No, messages in Lina cannot be edited or deleted after they are sent. This provides a clear and reliable record of what has been agreed between parents.
You own your own data. Lina processes data only to deliver the service, and never for commercial purposes.
When the account is deleted, all personal information associated with you is removed. Messages, photos, and lists shared with the other parent remain available to them.
Primary user data — messages, photos, child profile information, and account details — is stored with a subprocessor in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). A limited set of data is transferred to subprocessors in the United States for subscription management and push notifications, under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Lina complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Full details are available in the privacy policy.
Because messages in Lina cannot be edited or deleted after sending, they form a reliable written record. Parents can export the message history and bring it to family mediation or share it with a lawyer. Whether such records are admitted as evidence in court depends on the rules that apply in each country and case.
Account
Download Lina from the App Store or Google Play, and follow the in-app guide to create an account. You only need your email address to sign in — no password is stored.
Yes, you can add multiple children to Lina. Each child has their own shared space with associated information, messages, and photos.
You share the invitation code via the app.
Lina only works when both parents are connected. If the other parent is hesitant, it can help to explain what Lina does in practical terms: it's a shared place for information about the child — contacts, medical details, belongings, and messages — so that neither parent has to carry everything alone. It's free to join, takes two minutes to set up, and does not require a credit card. You can share the invite link and let them look at it in their own time.
No. A shared space in Lina is only between two parents — a maximum of two people. Children do not have their own account, and a new partner or step-parent cannot be invited in. This keeps the app simple and keeps the child's information between the two parents.
You can reach Lina by email at support@getlina.app. Most questions are answered within one working day.
Care Agreement
A good care agreement should cover the care pattern, place of residence, pick-up and drop-off, holiday and public holiday arrangements, cost sharing, communication between parents, travel with the child, and routines for changes and review of the agreement.
A private care agreement is based on mutual agreement between the parents. It is not legally binding in the same way as a court order, but provides structure and predictability for both parties and the child.
In Norway, Bufdir offers a free digital parenting agreement where parents fill out the agreement step by step and sign with BankID. Similar official tools exist in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
Lina offers an information page about what a care agreement should include, with an example and links to official resources in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
